Document workflow
A UK-focused route from supplier documents to an accountant’s review. Understand which obligation applies before choosing how to collect, check and hand over your records.

A reviewable handover for UK teams
Yelnitax’s product direction is to put the source document beside extracted fields and review notes. For a UK team, the useful output is a clearer handover to its accountant, with gaps resolved before figures reach accounting software.
An extraction is a suggestion. A VAT category, allowable expense or reporting period needs review in the context of the business. The preview must not be read as an automated tax decision.
Choose a workflow before choosing an integration
Bring representative invoices and credit notes, the accounting package you use, your period boundaries and the exceptions that slow the team down. Agree a small acceptance sample before any connection or export is treated as operational.
The public site shows examples. Access, supported file types, exports and integrations must be confirmed separately; it is not an HMRC submission portal.
A practical handover workflow
Identify the business
Record its legal form, VAT status, tax period and accountant. Keep Income Tax and VAT obligations separate.
Collect the evidence
Group invoices, receipts and credit notes by business and period. Preserve originals and their source.
Review the fields
Check supplier identity, invoice number, supply date, currency, net amount, VAT and gross total against the document.
Resolve exceptions
Record the reason for missing information, duplicates or unusual tax treatment and assign an owner.
Agree the handover
Test the target accounting software and export format with the accountant; confirm any required digital links.
Submit through the right service
Use the authorised HMRC-compatible route for the relevant obligation. This public Yelnitax preview does not file returns.
Yelnitax availability
Yelnitax is presented here as a document preparation product. This website does not submit VAT returns or MTD updates, and does not claim HMRC recognition or a live HMRC connection. Confirm supported exports and access before relying on a workflow.
